Fallen Series Week 1 Day 2 Ashfield
I question whether “visual” necessarily means “visible” for as a viewer do we not immerse ourselves in the environment using all our senses to experience the process of viewing? The scanner provided another level a window of unexpectedness to truly inhabit the space which is not afforded by conventional photography or other digit capture tools. Physically these technologies by design put the viewer in a purely observer role they create a barrier to being in and of the place, they frame the experience and pigeon hole the landscape in a conventional and predictable manner.
