My project is to create ‘tree’ dialogues
A number of significant trees will be singled out to fit one or more criteria for example: their position and exposure to the weather, wind conditions, access to the tree to assist the movement of my initiated drawing methodology, called kinetic drawing.
The explanation of kinetic drawing is the interactive movement of an organism (tree) moved by the natural element (wind) through an agent (me) by attaching a weight (plumb bob) with string with a drawing medium to a tree, hung over a drawing board with cotton rag paper. The movement initiated by the wind will swing, dance and move the drawing medium over the paper, which will collect this physical act as a visual dialogue, a poetry of sorts created by all these elements coming together.
